We are looking for a wood sander to be part of our talented, energetic team. As a Sander/Fret Board Processer, you are passionately committed to meticulous work and detail. You are reliable and efficient, and able to shift from one important task to the next without losing track of key elements in the process.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sanding instruments and processing fret boards (Plek operation, dot inlay installation, fret board hand surfacing, fret installation) while staying on schedule. Experience with these processes or a similar three-dimensional, complex form will be a plus, but is not required. We will train the worthy candidate.
Qualifications and Skills required:
You need to be energetic, practical and independent. You also must possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. We need a sander that has experience either with sanding stringed instruments or other, complex 3-dimensional forms. You will need to demonstrate outstanding skill in sanding, detecting scratches, filling imperfections and must understand that good eyes and a refined touch are the key to a great finish. Knowledge of wood types, veneers, wood lacquers and sealers is a plus but is not required. Turning out consistently excellent work, possessing clear communication skills, being punctual, and personal organization are a must.
