Some of the pictures show the thick string being rounded coming off the tuning post. That's almost as much of an issue as the strings being rounded over the nut or bridge saddle.
You can tell you needed it if you tune to pitch, straighten the string at the tuning post, and your tuning goes way flat.
The nut and bridge saddles points are 'must do'. The tuning post is 'should do', because it's not in the speaking length of the string and may, or may not, cause inharmonics and warbliness. But, over a short period of time, you may be wondering why the string keeps going flat. It's because that bend is slowly straightening out while under tension. Solve that problem immediately and easily by the tuner post witness point.
