Hey folks. I am wondering if anyone is familiar with the Markbass 102 P Traveler cabinet. I started hearing a buzz from the speakers when playing in the lower register yesterday. I play through a Little Mark III head and can assure you I never go past 12:00 on either the gain or volume. I am very aware of not letting the head clip. I am wondering how difficult it may be to take the cabinet apart to see if possibly something fell into the body of the cabinet. Or, does anyone know of a certified MB tech in NJ or NY. I already saw that Danny's Amps in Pennsauken, NJ is listed, but their reviews on Yelp are not building my confidence in their service. I have already sent a message through the MB Service Portal yesterday as well as messaged Marco directly through Facebook. Right now, I am just waiting patiently for a response from either. It's just a bummer as I have some big gigs coming up this weekend and want to make sure the buzz is taken care of.

I'm not familiar with the MarkBass stuff, but I'd be very surprised if it was difficult to get inside one easily.
Check it out! Investigate! ;)
I would assume the grill clips off, giving access to the drivers. Take one driver out and look/feel inside.
Maybe the back panel screws off?
There'll be some way of getting in there using standard tools for sure.

Sometimes rattle can be caused by the grille getting a little loose; have you tried tightening the 4 screws to make sure they're tight/flush? Once when I took off the grille on my traveler 121, I guess I failed to put it back in tightly. The first time I hit a note, there was serious rattle! When I made sure the screws were tight, it was gone.

Hope it's that simple in this case! Never tried getting inside my cab further than the grille, so I don't know how to help you there...

Obviously you have been playing too much rock 'n' roll. The excess has solidified inside your cabinet. Try putting some New Country through the cabinet to clean it out!! :)

Do you perchance have a mischievous small child that should be watched a little more carefully?? :D
