The first two are very cool...I'd say more soul/R&B than funk, but to each their own.
I couldn't get into that version of "Pick Up The Pieces." But again, to each their own.
That was...um...fascinating. I love the sound/feel of Brazilian samba parade drumming (or whatever that is called), but the whole percussion section on that recording is laying waaaay back behind the beat, and the horns and guitars are waaay on top of the beat, and the poor bass player doesn't know what to do, and so it winds up coming across as a mash-up from takes recorded at different tempos!
otoh, the original AWB version of that tune is practically the archetype of "funky"
