That's the 1st one that popped i to my head...it's the quintessential Pop tune, IMO.
Well played & arranged, mixed well, nice blend of instruments, nice composition that tells a story, etc.
"Windy" is great, too.
OK, not really.
This is what he wrote because he was pissed at his label for insisting he write another "pop song."
Careful what you wish for, I guess.

I like! I do hear a little Beatles in there...maybe The Rembrants, too.
All you need is a middle-8 in 6/8 & you're golden.
I just picked this album up a couple daze back. I love Billy Childs (a very well-balanced musician...Jazz, Funk, Rock, & now Pop). This is a revamping of Laura Nyro-penned songs. The production is stellar.
Vinnie Colaiuta on drums & Carlos del Puerto on bass. I'm not familar with the vocalist but she nails it.
