Some really odd choices here!
When I saw the thread title, the first artist I thought of was Perry Como. Also, Dean Martin, Johnny Mathis, Bobby Vinton, Peggy Lee, Percy Faith and Mantovani.
A lot of you seem to think that something has to sound like Black Sabbath or their descendants to be rock.
To me, if it's made by longhaired people with guitars and drums, who write it and are not fabricated (like the Monkees), it's rock.
So... the Beatles, XTC, the Buckinghams, the Knack, the Bangles, the Who (!!)-- not "pop."
The 5th Dimension, Madonna, the Carpenters, Adele, Dua Lipa-- yes... "pop."
IMO!
And...
"Power pop" is a subgenre of rock.

This is another one, albeit more alternative/experimental pop, however still essentially pop:
Most around here will hate this version, but now you've reminded me... I used to play it a lot back in the day when I DJed...
