It's nowhere near "rare," but I've never seen anyone else with one, so here it is:

Your's is better, in your opinion ;)

I can't wait to trade out the preamp for an audere, I think it's only gonna add to the quality of the bass.

Gotta love those 6 string prestiges.

Oh, mine set me back $1400 with case, so I got a great deal IMO

actually im quite fond of that burl top. i was just saying that to be a dick, really.

i got mine at sam ash in NYC a year ago this november.

i think this might make you mad. i paid 999 for it...it was on closeout. super lucky me. they didnt have any of the prestige cases that i think are supposed to be included, so they let me pick out a case, and i got a really nice BodyGlove gig bag instead.

I'm glad you got such a great deal for it! I had no problem paying the 1400 2 years ago, I was just proud of myself for making all the money to buy it (I was 14...)

The molded case that was included is really nice IMO. It was a great deal to include it.

I got mine from sam ash too, it's too bad they don't make them anymore, but I guess it just kind of adds value to mine (and your's as well seeing that they don't do limited editions anymore...)

I love taking it to GC and people just gawk at it, especially when they don't know it's an ibanez. I had a LINE to play it last time I was there, we all had a blast.

So, anyone else have a limited edition prestige? I would love to see some wenge ones, just something other than flame maple and walnut.

5 string Ibanez Roadstar II bass. I purchased this from Billy of the Toy Subs back around 1990 and in 91 had it converted to fretless with inlays. There was initially some neck damage, but this was repaired. It isn't pristine, but is quite a smooth player bass.

Plays great, has a little bit of neck dive. Active EMGs.
