Let's try this: there seem to be all kinds of cool custom/LE ibanez basses around, but the cool gets buried along with pics of all the stock stuff. So post up the rare ones! Custom shops, namm finishes, cool mods, etc.

It's coming back to life very soon stained brown with Delano pickups , Bee Pre and Bad Ass Bridge.

as cool as the chrome was... it just looked bad in person.

Solid flame maple, semi neck thru, ebony board, 19mm spacing at the bridge, mag HB with individually adjustable piezo bridge, onbord preamp control with internal trimpots, incredibly light and the most incredibly shallow neck profile.Custom case. Just lacked the sound I wanted - clear and defined but just not enough bottom end maybe. Bought from TBer Slowburnaz. Great guy. Sold to a guy in Canada. Wish I had it just to look at!

Had to look this one up on the net, but what a unique looking instrument! Early-mid 90s, right?

I think they were only made between '90 and '92.Not proud to admit it but always wanted one after I saw an old add in Guitar magazine featuring the guys in Warrant with all their custom Ibbies!I think if they had a standard neck and bridge pickup setup I would have kept it.Even tho I thought about it couldn't bring myself to mod it so I sold it!
I think the guy that designed it for Ibanez makes them again now in Germany. His name is Rolf Spuler.

yeah ive seen those around over the years, J-customs or Japanese Custom Shop had tons of literally one offs there are some in collections of 1 of say 7 etc.

If you have never played a J-custom before you dont know what your missing its not the same Ibanez many like to bash its High End craftsmanship thru and thru..
