Post your EXTREME MUSIC effects !

Hello to all of you fellow bass maniacs !
I-m diging to find out what should be the perfect pedal board, the effects that you use (for metal music, heavy, thrash, death, black metal) ... without what fx pedal u cant gig ?
I-m very interested of all your setups, especially for metal bass players :bassist:
Thanx a lot in advance and cant wait to read ur comments
:hiding:

bass-->Foxrox Octron-->Ashdown Bass Drive Plus-->Robot Factory Pulse Synth-->Devi Ever SM-->preamp-->MAM Warp 9-->Roland SDE-1000-->poweramp-->cab.

The Octron, and Bass Drive are the most important pieces, really. I'd describe my band as extreme metal, sure, why not. Click on the second link in my signature to see for yourself.

Most extreme metal bass players just play clean though, since effects usually make it more difficult to cut through a dense mix of ultra-heavy guitars and blasting drums. I'm just weird and stuff.

I play progressive death metal (check link in sig. if interested), and I use this pedalboard:

Bass -> Tuner -> Nano Small Stone -> Boss CE-5 -> Samsamp PBDDI -> MXR Bass Blowtorch -> Malekko B:ASSMASTER -> Weeping Demon Wah -> BBE Opto Stomp compressor -> Amp

hey,nice music u have ! gratz :bassist:
and thanx for all who post, waiting for more setups...
actually what's the role of eh Nano Small Stone ? many bassplayers use it ...

my setup is as follows:

bass (ibanez soundgear) > bass synth wah > morley wah > guyatone md-3 micro delay > phase 90 > dod flanger > amp

I play pretty much clean but for some songs, like our interludes in between songs which are just really mellow ill throw on some phaser or flanger coupled with some delay but mild. Then ill use the synth and the wah for more droney riff that are slower and heavier. I play in drop C so it can be tricky with the tracking to incorporate effects correctly. I will be adding a Fulltone Bass Drive in the near future as well and more likely than not it will be in use most of the time.

Click the link in my sig to check it out. Those recordings dont have any effect on them though, their from last summer

I'm starting a Doom/Drone Metal sorta solo concept album for fun and the only effects I'm using is by Russian Big Muff, Ibanez DE7 (for ambient passages), and I will be using a volume pedal that I haven't bought yet right now I'm just using the knob...a lot..

But the Big Muff...GREAT SUCCESS!!!

I like synth pedals...and I think they suit metal music, and I-m glad other think that too ....
What about using od/ds pedals and eh bassballs together ?
eh bassballs is only booster ? is the compresor pedal a must ?
still feel free to share ur pedalboard or at least ur view for this thread :)
thanx all & stay lo :ninja:
