Well i sold alot of mountain bike stuff yesterday meaning i can pay off my debt and get a new bass. I'm thinking an Iceman (warmoth body/neck). Post yours so i can get some ideas?

"pointy" basses don't get much love around here. I love the Iceman shape myself, I say GO for it!!

They make a body, but the neck would be wrong.

Warmoth only makes a 21 fret neck, while I've yet to see an Ibanez without at least 22 frets. So you'd lose a fret (which isn't that big of a deal) and then you wouldn't get that awesome Ibanez headstock.

You could always get a used Iceman, or a new one as Ibanez is currently making one, or maybe get a USCG neck.

I always found the lower horn on those basses to be quite...phallic.

Warmoth offers a 24 fret neck extension. I was thinking i would use a music man style humbucker with a Seymour Duncan tone circuit. The body would be Swamp ash with a quilt maple top, black due finish with a white binding. As for a neck i would use the "warmoth" style headstock flame maple neck, Pau ferro fret board. The rest is simple with Gotah GB7 tuners in gold and gold single string bridges.

I'd love to get an iceman, but I don't think I'll ever buy another bass. I'm a hands-on type of guy so I'd have to build myself and iceman-esque bass. I really like the body shape, and I dig the new Paul Gilbert Fireman style too.
