post your modified Pedaltrain nano/mini's?

Those are very cool! It doesn't say on the website (that I could see)... can the Ojai's do 18 volts or do you need a Zuma (which I believe will not fit under a Nano/Metro)?
BTW, the Ojai is 33mm 'tall'. The Cioks DC5 which just barely fits under my Metro 20 is 31mm. 2mm ain't much, but it might be enough to warrant a board's inclusion into this thread (meaning you may have to mod it).

There are some FAQs buried in the support area on the Strymon site, here's an excerpt:

My 9V DC pedal requires MORE than 500mA of current.

  • You can use a third party CURRENT DOUBLER cable to sum the current of two outputs together to power a single pedal.

My pedal requires 18V DC.

  • You can use a third party VOLTAGE DOUBLER cable to sum the voltage of two outputs together to power a single pedal.
You'd probably need to raise the height of the board; I had a DC-5 under a PT mini (posted on a different thread earlier today) and had to raise it a bit. Wooden door stop wedges dual locked to the underside. Not pretty, but effective and put a nice angle on the board.

Just one detail: the pedalboard keeps the pedals suspended from the floor and all related stuff (dirty, humidity, spilled beer). Keeping the power supply under the pedal support makes it vulnerable to these things. You'll prefer keeping it on the board with the pedals, even sticking out from it.

But that takes up pedal space which is even more of an issue with the nano or mini.
 
No real mods here, I simply mounted a Volto to the bottom of mine. The Volto claims a peak output of 2000ma so it should be able to handle 500ma just fine. I use it with three analog pedals and a tuner and I comfortably have power for a 4 hour gig and then some. If you are using pedals as "always-on" or some digital pedals which are effectively always on even when no processing is happening your mileage may be less.

I really like the simplicity of the setup...not having to worry about a power cable to the board. You do, however, need to be responsible about remembering to keep it charged for gig time.

im probably going to go with the strymon Ojai. I really like the idea of having a nice quality power supply. however the volto is definitely number two on my list. the only thing id like to figure out how to accomdate is having a usb port or power supply rigged under the board, so when i get a line 6 relay g10 wireless i can easily plug in under the board.

I was hoping to see some of the ways people have modified their Pedaltrain Nanos and minis to accommodate a power supply and/or power strip.

I am looking to do some mods to my board and i'd just like to have some better ideas of what others have done to their own.

CIOKS DC5 fits a Nano without modification (just drilling holes). I think I replaced the feet with the Peavey large rubber feet, but I didn't need to.

Interesting, I thought Cioks was the only option for mounting under a PT Nano/Metro.

I have a Cioks DC5 under my Metro 24 and it only just fits, the supply sticks out a mm or so more than the feet so there is a very slight bit of rocking going on from side to side!

DC10 fits into a Metro 16 with modification

Mounted wireless receiver below. (Stole the idea from a thread here). Used an angle grinder and files to make a slot for the 1/4" connector. Had to install taller feet.

Painted it bright green in hope that people would stop tripping over it.

Added LED strip and clipboard clip to hold and light up my set list.

I used aluminum pop rivets to mount everything.
Awesome! I tend to be too uptight to modify stuff that much. I hope I can be like you when I grow up!

That's an awesome little board! How are you powering everything?
