I'm definitely happy with how it's coming along. Aesthetically and sound wise.
It's weird but I had a real problem with that. In the past if two pedals looked alike I'd invariably step on the wrong one at the worst possible time. I even asked for my OLC Chunky Cheese in a different color (they did white instead of the normal orange) because it would have been too similar to the Empress Trem I had at the time.
But now, with a whole board of bare metal, I never step on the wrong one. Until a while ago I had a Boss and Moog and soon the board will be tighter spaced and all metal so we'll see, but so far so good.
Yeah, the etched version is what finally made me decide to buy one. And since I had a Holy Fire (since sold), a grey Superdelay and was GASsing for a Randy's Revenge, the Malekko is what made me decide to see if I could do an all metal board. The Keeley is actually silver sparkle paint, but otherwise I will have done so.
My Assmaster is #3 of 10 SEs. And Josh being Josh, he threw in the traditional teeth, but blinged it out for the etched version.

I don't know,...it's making me angry that I can't find a great deal of press on it. When the first thing that pops up in a google search is a TB thread on the Cygnet you know you have to be patient for clippy doos.
Just to clear up a few things about the Bubble Chamber and Iron Ether/Taylor in general:
I PM'd Taylor when the Xerograph was close to being released and he mentioned the "big brother filter" and after trading messages I ordered one despite the design not being finished.
It didn't even have a proper name at that point. Mine, which is custom (different control layout, no pitch tracking LFO, slightly smaller size, up/down and fast/slow attack switches etc) I decided to call the "Bubble Chamber". Taylor had kicked around that name before and decided to use it for the "production" version as well. Mine is an etched graphic of a bubble chamber image but I believe the production model will have individual color graphics of bubble chambers photos.
I should note that mine isn't finished yet. I ordered a pedal that Taylor was still developing (a very complicated one at that) and there are still some very minor bugs to work out since every little fix seems to throw something else slightly out of whack. And I have zero issue with giving Taylor as much time as he needs to perfect the circuit. I knowingly ordered a pedal that wasn't ready so I have no problem being patient.
But that's why there's no info on it online. It isn't done yet. And the Nautilus (the modernized MuTron Octave Divider) is the same way.
Taylor has a ton of innovative ideas and he has a great set of skills (with both analog and digital solutions) to bring them to life. But he's also working on a number of things at once and watching his new business grow faster than expected.
Long story short, there's no "secret menu" or desire to keep people in the dark. Just very early versions of pedals that haven't been released yet. Malekko found out the hard way that leaking word about upcoming pedals and getting people excited can hurt, especially if the release ends up getting delayed and delayed or just cancelled altogether. So I feel bad if I'm causing people to feel in any way similar about Iron Ether and the Bubble Chamber. The only thing Taylor has said is that it would be coming eventually. And I'm just excited about a cool piece of gear that is almost done.
But I do promise clips when it shows up!

that's why i'm waiting patiently for the bubble chamber to be finished. No need to give more pressure by emails and messages. When it comes, i will be very happy...

i've had a bunch of email communication with Mr The Iron In The Ether, and he's an amazingly good guy. i have 3 things he's building that i AM crazy impatient for... but that's just 'cause i'm so excited about them. he'll work on them till they're ready, get them right, then i'll get them and love them.
lol... and mine aren't even any crazy esoteric mid-design stuff like yours.
i'm super happy that he's a builder, and super happy that he's a TB member.

Yay! The Source Audio pedals hang about a 1/2 inch over, but that's no problem. As soon as the BEF is shipping, it will go in place of the Tri-Mod Wah...should be soon!
they are kind of sticking over a bunch, are you sure the board can't lean when you push down? That could be bad...

Not a problem. And it's not a bunch, it's about a half inch of a 7 inch deep board.
That used to be my board; my stock-housed Muff also lapped over that much, and the board was fine.
