ive been ranting and raving on these boards about how much i love my boss volume. ive had the 250k and 25k ernie ball volumes, and the new visual volume as well as an older dod volume. this boss is BOSS!
the treadle is comfortable and smooth, the volume swell is uniform (the ernie ball was not) and the features are beyond most other volume pedals - tuner out AND minimum volume knob. to be honest the tone loss is the eqivalent of the ernie ball - barely any, not enough to even consider really. micro loss. this pedal seems to get bad reviews but i am a volume enthusiest and love mine - plus at 75$ NEW its a great deal.
hope that helps. BTW i mostly use mine for volume control and smooth horn and string like swells.

Just got the PT-2. I have a loop for the moog on the way and the two gaps will be filled with an Octavus Squeezer and a Korg DT-10, the 442 will probably be replaced with an Earthquake Devices Hummingbird. As I've said before I will eventually upgrade the cables, just want to get everything else first.
What do you think about the maxon phaser?
It's very good, there are tonnes of nice tones. I bought it to try to replicate a Jet Phaser's sound (I have owned one of those too, the power issues and it's value made me sell it) and this seemed to fit the bill, it seems slightly brighter in sound than the Jet Phase which I kind of prefer. It also has true bypass and a nice normal 9v which is also a plus.
The band that I'm in now is very techno based. We've had a few jams together and it seems my pedals are working well for it.Very cool board. And I'd be interested to see what kind of stuff you play because your board in many ways is very similar to mine, or at least it will be when the last two pedals arrive. We even have two of the same pedals, and the others you have I'm guessing fill very similar needs to mine.
Give me a month (or more - I'm not in charge of pedal release dates) and we'll have to compare notes . . .
Can anyone recommend a looper that is an easy to use in a live setting as the Boomerang? This is one huge board for so few effects and I'd love to downsize a bit .....
