No pics, but my signal chain goes EBS Multicomp => Xotic Bass BB Preamp. Still gassin' for a Planet Waves Pedal Tuner, and considering a Sansamp BDDI and some sort of input/output/buffer unit.

I have a Sansamp BDDI and it's great. I would recommend the programmable though just cause. Or look at the Paradriver, it's got a Mid knob. I've been looking at those since I got my BDDI. About the Pedal Tuner, go with the Boss, if you have the money. IMO, the Boss is much better than the Planet Waves.

Yes, it's a 4ms Duo Distorter with clean blend (actually, clean volume) and separate volumes for each channel. It's a fantastic pedal, but a little more extreme than I wanted. Neither channel holds the low-end well, which is what the blend is for. The green channel sounds great with the blend...kind of a crunchy Tubescreamer sound. The red channel with the blend sounds like clean bass with fuzz on top of it...like 2 separate instruments. I was looking for more of a "fuzz bass" sound.

As for the sansamp, I'm gonna use it as a DI so I won't need the programmable one. And I am considering the paradriver because of the mid knob, but it doesn't have a blend knob... I'll see.
Personally, I would steer clear of the paradriver. To my ears, it's really honkey and nasal sounding, and it just doesn't sound natural.Willem said:

IME, the Boss TU-2 is overpriced and not nearly as accurate as the Planet Waves CT-04, Korg DT-10 or Fender PT-100. All of these are three times as accurate as the Boss and they all cost less. That said, the Boss has been around for a long time and has proven it's worth to MANY people. It's just not the best pedal tuner for the money, IMO.

going between a late 60s - early 70s jazz and an ashdown abm500rc evo II + ampeg svt610.
i'm thinking of putting the smartgate and delay in the effects loop of the amp. i'm also strongly considering a bargeconcepts vfb2 effect looper/blender (see the thread called "blenders?").
this is where you, the good reader, comes into it:
will the smartgate (noise gate) still work the same way in the effects loop of the amp? i'm assuming it will... any thoughts?
i'm thinking of putting the muff, phase, flange, and filter in the loop of the vfb2. as far as possible chain placement, i'm going to try a few things... but what makes the most sense to me is putting the looper (with all the effects) after the pog and before the PBDDI. any thoughts on this issue?
also: the boards that people have posted here are quite nice! i'll try to get a camera to add to the pic-collection.
now i'm thinking: maybe i should put the vfb2 after the PBDDI.... since i'm going to want to blend that sound into the effects as well....

it's fun to experiment!my planned live set up finally got myself a board. don't mind the amp. that's just for house use. a locally made 60 watter.
all my pedals... well except for my ibanez pd7. i should get that back from my friend. also, don't mind the stickers. those were placed on there by the previous owner. traded my small stone for this board.

Definitely. My Fulltone Fat Boost just adds a bit of Zing, so the VFB-2 goes after the Fat Boost, so I get the "zing" mixed with everything.
