I guess so, yes. The aluminum on my board is covered with 3M dual-lock (industrial strength plastic velcro) I guess I can see how the slots could seem like wires sticking out.
Maybe this will clear the air a little bit. Sorry excane, I saved your pic and brightened it up a little bit and messed with the contrast so that those areas chronicle circled could be seen clearer.

You're talking to a photoshop pro here, the original photos were already enhanced slightly.
By the way (not to get off topic) but for all you photoshop users on a semi-pro or pro level..... DON'T USE BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST. Learn to use levels and curves. The brightness/contrast essentially destroys your image and removes information that can no longer be recovered. A view of the histogram will support this.

For the record....I used irfanview which doesn't hold a candle to photoshop; but I don't have PS.

My Board has once again Upgraded in a small way:

(Sorry, but the Loop Station is not a permanent Choice, only filler until I think of someting I need to go in that spot.)
This weekend I'll be trialing the Supercollider with my current group, but something tells me its just a bit over the top, (seeing as our guitarist wants us to be paramore).
A Quick Question, any idea as to what I can put after the PS-3 in way of modulation? something small and useful would be ideal. Chorus and delay are taken care off via the PS-3, but something applicable to pretty much any genre would be nice. (My jazz group hates the PL but loves the pitch shifting). The wah is at the moment retired to the bench due to lack of use.

Just....yeah, Its a problem
Octave...I have been following the MXR Bass Octave Deluxe, and Im hoping to give it a go. After a bad experience with an OC-3, I was turned off Pitch manipulation until I aquired the PS-3. Since then I've "seen the light". But Octave is still a murky ocean for me....

I found all this talk about the year of the small board to be offensive to my religion so i decided to do something about it.
I went to the woodshed and did some actual wood work. Turned an old bed into my new pedalboard.

whoa, where did those come from? I suppose there's different models. What are the dimensions and weight of your board excane?
Yes, I was gonna say I saw the edit in your other post. That was a completely different model of pedalpad with no holes whatsoever.
The XL model allows you to move those aluminum plates around (not so easy with my setup because some pedals span more than one plate)
I forget the dimensions (I believe it's around 38" wide) Pedalpad has the dimensions up on the website. I don't know the weight fully loaded, but it's not as bad as you might think. I can still carry it with one hand if I don't want to roll it.
