I'm on the fence on getting a Moog Little Phatty or Korg M3... :/

Little Phatty. the tweakability of the Phatty makes it worth the price of admission. the M3 is going to be superhard to really get in and manipulate. on the Phatty, you can see everything and change stuff like filter cutoff easily.

You've got to narrow down your interests. Think of the M3 as a multi-effects unit, and the LP as a Moogerfooger. Do you want a genuine, fat synth sound, or do you want an emulator which is more versatile but doesn't quite nail that sweet tone?

It's always the tradeoff.

Well, the Little Phatty rocks. I love mine.

A keyboardist I play with has an M3 though I haven't really tried it. It looks pretty complex, but it also seems to have a million features.

i agree, the Phatty will work great for this and it is very well-designed and easy to use. A good value. for real.

NOt a chance. I play in a classic Rock band right now, but Id really like to be doing more of a Radiohead and The Who backing up Sara Bareilles and CSNY on Frank Zappas music. at least, thats what I hear in my head.

For the first time in three months, I don't have a pedal in transit to me. And I don't plan on it. The only thing that I am interested in trying is the Catalinbread SFT, but I have a feeling it might not be any better than my Flipster. And yes, I know, I need new knobs for it.

The tuner is just barely hanging over the edge. At some point I will replace the cables to those with flathead jacks.
