Nyarlathotep, can you go into some detail about how you chose which fuzzes to keep for your board? For instance I'm curious about the fact that you have two muff varients but the Tentacle Love didn't make the board. Are you using your stuff for a specific project?

The TLSF was originally in the plans, but got dropped when I realized that 2 30" boards and the small lunchbox were a little much. Hell, even 2 30" boards is a lot, but I can handle 2 cases LOL.

I believe the original list went:
1) Noisebox
2) Prunes&Custard
3) Swollen Pickle
4) Supercollider
5) Attack Goat
6) XXLB

The P&C got kicked first since it didn't quite do anything crazy enough except lazer beams. I knew the NB did thick glitchy AND lazar, and Im glad it ended up on there. It didn't look like it for a while. Having the P&C not in use, I traded it for a Huckleberry v2 (not on the original list, but soundclips convinced me to try it at least). The XXL got kicked when I got the TLSF for the bass side/lunchbox channel. I replaced the VBjr/Torn's Peaker combo on that board for the more doomy sound of the TLSF. Amazingly the Peaker does a crazyer (than normal) sloppy decay type thing in the FX loop of my GT-10B (which is different than the NBs decay sound), so it ended up being a fight between the Goat and XXL. The Goat is more fuzzy so the XXL got booted.

Basically, that left:

1) Noisebox
2) Torn's Peaker
3) Supercollider
4) Swollen Pickle
5) Attack Goat
6) Huckleberry v2

After trying to get a Noisebox 3 or 4 times on here as well as unsuccessfully thru a canadian retailer, I struck it from the list for a little while and added a tone shaper, which ended up being the ParaEQ.

After finding out that I could buy one direct from Subdecay I decided to see if I could re-arrange everything once I got the NYC board, and it turned out that I could fit the NB on there. So it ended up back.

The list then, in the order of loops L>R (and why I have them):

1) Attack Goat. More of a sparce grindy fuzz than the others, and not as high a gain. It seems to fit well as an alternative sound to the Supercollider
2) Supercollider. A grindy fuzz. Not as screaming as the Pickle can get.
3) Torns Peaker. More of a thicker sloppy decay than the noisebox. Not as gated either. More like a sloppier Supercollider, hence right beside it
4) Noisebox. Bass goes in, unrecognizeable noise comes out. More wild, like the Pickle is over the Supercollider, so its next to the Pickle for intro/segue type stuff
5) Swollen Pickle. Screaming OMGFACEMELT. Nuff said
6) Huckleberry v2. More synthy, like the noisebox, but not as crazy and glitchy.

So my loops basically go Grindy <--> Screaming/Synthy with Crazy/Sloppy in the middle....

IIRC the phases of my board were:

- Small (TU-2>MD-2>PW-10>RV-5), then I joined TB
- Got bigger (Sparkle Drive>CFH>Muff'n was the basis of this stage, with some other things like chorus, delay and verb in there)
- PODxt. Decided to size down the board to just having the FBV on the floor. Got a mic stand and adaptor for the bean itself
- POD X3. Supposed to be the next big thing. Traded the "xt" for monies towords the X3
- Found the X3 to be more of the same amp/cab-wise as the "xt". Sold X3 to a friend who sold his PODxt (non bass ver) to one of his buddies.
- Re-acquired an English Muff'n and got an SCP (IIRC)
- Bought a VT-bass and MicroBassII. Formed a miniboard from the VT, MBII and the SCP. (was supposed to expand into mega board territory, but...)
- Running low on money and there being no jobs in the electrical sector when I graduate forces me to return the VT and MBII and sell the Muff'n, again....
- Bought a zoom B2. Holds me for a while.
- Acquire employment, just not in the electrical sector.
- Start acquiring fuzzes etc, for my mega-board plan.
- Realize that the delay, modulation and filtering I want costs way too ****ing much, buy a GT-10B instead (EDIT: and now I use the GT for pitch shifting instead of wah/filter :eyeroll:)
- With the acquisition of the Noisebox, the board "system" becomes complete, minus a board for the GT-10B/FV-500H.
- Present: Not sure what to do with the Lunchbox/TLSF/XXLB/B2.....

You forgot the TU-2 -> microPOG -> LPB-1 board. ;)
I guess that one wasn't supposed to be all to end all. :confused:

hmmm I need to take shots of my now 2 gator pedal totes,...

only problem is I just got in a eye of god, aenima, hyperion and supercollider,... was kind of my xmas present to myself,... new year = less spending... but mmm I want to make more crazy noise!

only gassing for one more pedal now which is the Ibanez PM7 phase modulator for more crazy sounds... then going to sort a whole heap of things to sell off...

my biggest problem is I need to stop looking at dirt pedals,... I keep thinking ooh this will sound better in the band or this would sound better on noise board... never realised I now have 10 dirt pedals :ninja:I think about 5 of them will need to go as they don't get use tho!
