My father in law had a cat that was 22 hen she passed. Despite missing a leg and being stone deaf. She was a goo cat but was in bad shape in her later years. No bladder control and threw up bloody water sometimes. Still kinda miss her

I would really like to participate in this thread but I have 2 labs along with 2 other small dogs that don't sit still very long and very nice basses so I fear having my labs around them. Add photoing both together and it is a recipe for disaster.
Fetch until they give up. I know, I have a lab too. It takes a looooooooong time. Once they finally collapse, let them pant for about an hour. Then they will be ready for a nap. Let them nap in the bass room, and wa-la! Photo opprotunity.

The bass is semi-homemade.
I had the body built to my specs by Guitar Mill
One piece Ash, chambered with a maple cap and all the hardware inlaid into the wood.
It has an old Warmoth fretless ebony/maple "P" neck and a pair of Q-Tuners wired like a Telecaster.
I did the finish, assembly and setup myself.
The pic with Elvis is a better catch of the actual color...
Just got a new SX Vintage Medium Scale. My little Mollie had to check it out and approve. I knew she was the one for us when I found that she likes listening to me practice.
How do you like those Q-Tuner pups?
How would you describe their sound?
I like 'em a lot. I hope Erno can get back into production with them.
They're nice and clear and articulate and can be adjusted to provide even levels across the scale.
I actually bought this pair of pickups first when I was braining out what I wanted in a fretless bass...

I just adopted a German Shepherd and he's developed the habit of licking my basses while they're on their stands(I stopped him of course)...any one else's critters lick their basses??
MC Elvis is a bit of a chewer.
He seems to prefer tuning gears and the whammy bar tip on my Strato which is getting an interesting texture from his attention.
So far, he doesn't seem to care for the wood, so he can have a nip every now & then if he likes.
