I just built a DIY preamp and it works!
But the bass is rear-routed and the pot bushings are too short.

Before I built the DIY pre, I was looking at the JTEX Distiller and saw that they include adapters to extend pot bushings:

This seems like a brilliantly simple solution to a common problem.
I Googled, but so far haven't found anything....

Does anyone know a source for these bushing extenders?

I know @Jerry Catanescu is a member here. I seem to recall in a thread here or on one of the effects forums that detailed some issues with procuring those. He may have been buying something else and modifying it. Don’t take my word on that however, go with whatever Jerry says.

I must confess that I stole the idea from Underhill :/ (it's all good, he picked up a few ideas from me too). He makes his own from scratch (or at least he used to), whereas I start off with bushings from a certain 1/4" jack style. I only have to thread the inside with a M7x0.75 tap to make a pot adapter out of it. Takes a few seconds with a cordless drill.

I bugged Tayda to sell the bushing separately from the jack, so I don't have to throw away brand new jacks after harvesting their precious bushings. They thankfully listened, and here are the separate bushings:
