If you wander over to the threads on the BG side you’ll discover that Alex is now building a 200 watt powered versions of his venerable One Ten T

Theoretically, will the difference in porting on bottom of the passive and the side of active effect the R/L balance? I’m probably being neurotic - it’s not like there supposed to be used as studio monitors, but still…

Alex is pretty careful with what he releases so I imagine it is even.

I am more interested in who is using a stereo bass rig. Maybe for delay or fx?

I’d treat it like a bass centric PA system - small passive mixer, my horn and vocal mics all dialed in, maybe some stereo guitar FX if I felt like getting weird with it. Can totally see myself using it for a Rhodes piano tremolo kind of thing, too…

I’ve never had much luck using a pair of small , two way bass cabinets. I tried it with a pair of 8 ohm EA VL 108’s
the proximity feed back from those three way transmission line bass cabinets was really hard to negate even with the Walter Wood amp I was using. I can’t speak to what a pair of,Barefaced powered 1x10T’s will do, but IME a larger cabinet works better than two smaller equivalent ones. Just my take though. I do know, that spreading them far apart get’s you a delay and possible phase issues.
