Powered Small Subwoofer?

I'm looking to add a small powered subwoofer to my arsenal. Using my stereo Walter Woods, I currently send one heavily EQ'ed channel to a 1x15 to beef up the low end on loud gigs. I'd rather use the WW just to power my EA VL-108s and get the subwoofer function and power from another cabinet. Any ideas or experience?

I've been considering something like this for my PA while trying not to add a bunch more heavy stuff to haul around. A powered BFM Tuba24 is about the best I've come across that'll give deep, clean bass at enough volume in a smaller package. The tops are typical 15+6+tweet, decent even sound from mid-bass and up but not incredibly loud.
