Might want to check your local CL. The things can be flippin' heavy and expensive to ship. May also want to check out the offerings on www.carvin.com. Good stuff and reasonably priced.
Oh, you can also list a WTB thread on CL. You'd be amazed at the number of bands-in-transition who are either breaking up or upgrading their gear.

Used powered gear is hard to come by. There are not alot of older, powered cabs around because 10 years ago they were not that common at the bar/club level. Older Eons are around but suck pretty bad.
Everyone here usually agrees that the newer powered rigs by QSC, JBL, and Carvin are the cat's a$$, but finding that stuff used to save money is pretty tough.
If you have to stay in the used market to save money, (like me
) You may have to accept passive rigs. Or in you case, passive subs and a case with an amp and x-over.Derek
Check out Carvin. My powered sub is light and sounds very punchy. Not the largest box in the world, but for club gigs it really works well.
has anyone checked out the mackie th-18s?
i have not tried them, and haven't found any reviews, but i am really curious about them- reasonable price, powered, made by mackie.
i have used the other powered mackie subs, and they are pretty solid... very heavy, but solid. the qsc subs are really nice also.

we use 2 SWA1801z subs from Mackie and they sound great, both indoor and outdoor. Heavy. Dunno about the th-18 but the site says they are lightweight. I'd be interested to hear more about these also.
