Wall wart is 9.6v. From searching here it seems people get a hum when powered with something like a One Spot. I know I do. I've been just using the adapter that came with my Freeze but I'd like another option to avoid having two plugs. Anybody running a Freeze on something like a Fuel Tank JR. or the likes?

No hum? No hissing or white noise? Wow.

I can run my Freeze on a 1-Spot with nothing else connecting and there will still be hum/noise. Some may not hear it or be used to it from long-existing hum from other pedals, some may be lucky and have a 1-Spot that makes no hum. I've owned several over the years and they're great, but certain pedals will emit a bit of hum with them.

I've been using mine with a 1-Spot along with about 5 other pedals and there is only a minimal hiss audible through my rig, but I am playing through a tweeterless sealed 6x10 cab so that is probably why! I have compared running back and forth between its own supply and the 1 Spot and I have to turn the volume way up to hear the added noise when using the 1 Spot. It is certainly nowhere near the noise my Small Clone adds when on a daisy chain (if I use a fuzz pedal, I get a huge wave of the Small Clone clock noise even if the chorus is bypassed!).

I just bought a CIOKS AC-10 isolated power supply, but have yet to hook everything up- the Freeze does require a relatively high 146 mA, so I think the Fuel Tank Jr will not be adequate. A PP2+ also has some higher rated outputs that would work.

Ah yes I have heard about those cables- just make sure you get the amperage doubling cable vs. the voltage doubling cable (one is a series connection and one is parallel). I've never actually seen the amperage doubler cables for sale in a store though... The T-Rex power supplies are a bit of a conundrum to me- I think the Jr. would be the perfect tiny power supply if it just had higher amperage ratings (like 200 mA, or even 150), since many/most digital delays and many other digital effects seem to require more than 120mA. Also- why do they charge nearly $200 for the normal Fuel Tank when it doesn't even have isolated outputs (the only thing it has that the Jr doesn't is a higher total mA rating- because all the outputs are tied together- and a single AC 12V output)? Odd company!

Just read the manual and it looks like the Jr. does come with one Amperage doubler cable, so at least they got that one right!

I just went through a long search for the right isolated supply for my pedals, so these things still interest me! If you ever need a bigger or more versatile supply, don't overlook the CIOKS offerings- I'm glad I found the CIOKS AC-10, as it is one of the few with both AC and DC sides with multiple settings!
