Just for the hell of it and because I can...........I have been thinking of playing a gig with my 2011 4003 using the Ric-o-sound stereo option and running one pickup into a Fender Super Bassman 300/neo 610 cab and the other into an Orange AD200/Bergantino NV215. It will be overkill for sure but it got me thinking:
If I use a stereo cable will I then need two separate DI boxes for the FOH? This seems to me to be the only option, bringing with it all sorts of possible issues with a soundman who probably has no idea of the concept of setting up pickups with two different tones/heads. The only alternative I can see is that I also run an output from the mono out on the bass into a single DI box for FOH, but I suspect that output probably won't work if the stereo output is being used.
I have been quite happy using the Ric in mono as most of us no doubt do, and may well never get around to trying it in stereo, but I would still be interested in hearing how others approach this issue.
