Practice setup with Ipad

Here's what I'm looking to do. Any help is appreciated.

I bought a new Ipad and I want to wirelessly play audio files from itunes/youtube or something thru my powered monitors to play along with for practice. The bass doesn't need to be wireless...just the audio accompaniment. Seems like it would be straight forward maybe with AirPlay or something? But I thought I'd check with you guys before I went out and bought equipment.

Sounds like you would just need a set of bluetooth-capable powered monitors.

Bose may have some interesting Bluetooth Enabled wireless speakers. You will need to make sure that whatever app you use can send audio via Bluetooth.

Just want to follow along with this discuss - I am kind of in the same boat, only I have an iTouch, so no Bluetooth.

Just buy a Bluetooth audio receiver. Plug it into your speaker system and pair the iPad with it. Shouldn't be more than $30 for one.

If you have a 3.5mm jack to plug into, or just use an adapter for a quarter inch jack, use the receiver below.

Why go all wireless and complicated when all you need is a long mini stereo to jack or xlr lead, or even just a converter and use a regular mini to rca lead?
