Double Bass Practicing routine suggestions?

Hey all, I figured now that school started, its good to get back into my 2 hour a day routine practice. How should i break up this time period? 1 hour for scales and arpeggios and 1 hour for music? btw, what do you suggest for a book on technique, i have to fix mine since my elbow cracks after i play for a long time

What elbow? Bow arm or Finger arm?

finger arm...when i play, should my wrist be flat with my arm or should there be a slight curve? i've been playing bass for a long time and recently took on the dragonetti so i guess intense playing is bringing out my falasies in technique

-Major/Minor Scales/Apregios in 3 Octaves in every key for 1 hour using different bowings
-The Entire Petracchi Book front to back 1.5 hours
-Bille/Etudes - 30 minutes
-Orchestral Excerpts - 1 Hour
-Solos - 1 hour

I find this really coveres everything, I do this everyday except tuesday where I need to cut out solos cause I am so freakin busy!!

I do an hour everyday of scales and arpeggios - Major, minor, and Chromatic. I work out of Levinson's book and my teacher's workbook.

Then I'll do an hour of slow bow work and shifting exercises.

An hour of orchestral excerpts that I am working on at the time and the orchestra music I am playing.

And I'll spend about 2 hours a day (right now 3) for solo work.

Thats my basic practice routine. This varies depending on the day and stuff I was given to work on for the week.
