practise + recording advice

Hey there guys!

I was looking to get some advice on my situation, because I am still a noob in recording anything

I am planning on buying a scarlet 2I2 to do some basic recording in my small student flat.

But I don't want to mix these recordings on my headset and I'm therefore looking for some budget studio monitors with a good bass.

I was also thinking on practising with my bass through the interface and monitors, as well as use them to play music in my flat.

Any advice as where and what I should be looking for?

I understand good monitors aren't cheap and when playing I should be aware not to play too aggressive or loud.

Any takers ?

Bass carries through walls. You will have the keep the volume down or neighbors will complain. Turning down means you may not get the sound you're after.

You probably just haven't heard a good set of Headphones/Earbuds/IEM, they can and do sound wonderful.

I do have a decent headset I can pratise through, so I guess that works.

But I'll still need something budget cheap to mix on. The guy from the musicstore recommended these:
