Pre amp question

More specifically East uni.
Does anyone know if pulling the passive switch cuts power from the pre?

I'm eating batteries.

I assumed putting the bass in passive mode cut the power to the pre but I'm only getting 3 days per battery.

Do I need to unplug the bass or switching to active enough?

I'm a believer in always unplugging. It sounds like it's pretty easy to test. Preamp bypassed, bass unplugged, extended battery life = switch leaves battery in the circuit. Do that and batteries last 3 days (which is a ridiculously short period of time. A new battery should last weeks/months depending on usage) = you've got deeper issues.

Give it a shot, if you still have problems contact East.
