Preamp/DI problem

I recently purchased a Aguilar Tone Hammer Pre/amp DI stompbox. I used at church with a legitimate sound system and loved it (chanel padded). I then went to band practice and ran staight into our board (no pad available). I was so hot they barely had me on which made me have to restructure my tone. Is there a device you can put between your bass and the board that acts a a remote pad?

The board should have a couple of spare line level inputs. Make up a cable to use one of those.

Yep. XLR to 1/4 inch cable, into line input.

Shure also makes an inline pad for xlr. Knocks off 15db as I recall.

Or xlr to rca, whatever line in is available that can be mono'd. I don't know about the Aguilar but my sansamp has a 1/4 out and my desk has 1/4" line inputs on all the channels. Too easy.

Worked great. Don't know why I didn't think of that.
