Double Bass Preamp for Realist and Troll mic?

I used the realist and troll the same way as you describe, it's a good combo. The headway box is ok but it doesn't have a highpass for each channel. It'll do the job but since I got my new AI amp with 2 full channels of EQ I've not used the headway. I'm now using the Ehrlund and troll with the AI amp and loving it. I'd definitely go for an AI pre amp if you have the money.
