Preamp pedal and settings to simulate a Traynor YBA-3 Custom Special

For many years, my go-to stage amp has been a 1970 Traynor Custom Special (YBA-3), on a Traynor 2150 (2x15") cabinet.

More and more, though, I've been playing gigs ampless, and while my back loves it, I miss my amp! I'd love to know how close I can get close to its sound (especially when using fuzz) with a preamp pedal.

Currently, I'm using a SansAmp VT Bass DI, with the 'Character' knob tilted a bit to the right (i.e. BA15 territory). It's great in its own ways, but it's not really doing the trick. I think the actual cab sim may still be 8x10", regardless of what 'Character' is doing. I've always preferred the sound of 15" speakers.

I know that the Origins Bassrig Black Panel simulates a 2x15 cabinet, but I'm unsure of whether the 'amp' portion of it would be similar to my old Traynor. Given the price, I can't afford to just buy one as an experiment.

I know this is a very specific question; I'm just hoping there may be others like me out there, who've already found a useful solution, and whose homework I can copy.

Thanks!

Maybe not exact. But no pedal is the same as an amp. Noise Space “Traynor”. Maybe named something different now.
