preamp question

Class A- AFAIK- usually refers to a tube amp & the type of amp it is. (usually a single tube IIRC-possibly wrong here-someone help!!!)Class A/B is a 'push/pull type of tube amp- using pairs or a pair of tubes. Class D- AFAIK regards to digital power amp! Again- I'm NO expert-by a long shot here!!! Please someone who knows-chime in!

Google it ! Class-A and Class-D will give you some good links - the Wikipedia articles seem pretty accurate.
