Preamps!

....The EBS is too mild and it's barely noticeable. The EHX has much fatter sound, but check out Digitech Synthwah too...

Thanks Nils,
Appreciate the input. I own the Digitech BSW. It's o.k. I've been gassing for a better filter, but fear spending $200 just to get a 10% improvement on an effect that I use less than 10% of the time. :hmm: The one thing I do like about the BSW is the wet/dry blend function on the envelope filter settings. Wish more envelope stomp boxes would use this feature. My old Boss CEB 2 chours has this as well. It's nice to dial in some unfiltered signal to hold ones self in the mix.

Good luck with the Multi-Comp.

Oh-hoh, Nils, so it actually was a compressor you were looking for, at the end of the day :)

I've tried the MultiComp and it's a very, very good compressor that really tightens up the tone! Only reason that I got my hands on the punch factory was because it was a good offer!

Good to hear you found what you were looking for!

I agree and I think many bass-effects need a feature like that.
If you have an effects send-return with a blend function (like the
one on the MicroBass II) you can use that dial the same way.

Re uly_: Well, I was looking for something to fatten or better my
sound, and as the MultiComp does that, that's what I need! I'm
still on the lookout for a nice preamp though, as I haven't tested
the MXR yet. And if I ever find a Sadowsky in Sweden I'm sure I'll
test it or just buy it on the spot!

I bought the MultiComp today, and I'm so happy! I tried some
different signal paths and ended up with it after my BD-2
overdrive. When in the Tubesim-mode it sounds so great with the
overdrive passing through it, and when I play clean it really, really
puts an extra touch on my sound. Still need another 8ohm cab to
get the most out my amp though. Or a nice 4ohm. :ninja:
