Precision, 2EQ Ray or Bongo 5 HH

The EBMM Bongo is, in my opinion, the best mass-produced bass ever. Not only is a tone monster, but it's super versatile and really comfortable to play. I highly recommend it.

I agree, the Bongo is a bass you will play and treasure for years. Even though it's weird looking.

Thanks all. Ive reserved a Sky Blue 5HH (White Pearl Guard) which is due in less than a month. Perfect! Needed a proper 'wow' colour to go with that design.

No black hardware, and no white pickups. Personally, I think making white pickups like on a Ray 5H available would be awesome, but I'm in a tiny minority there I think

Bongo for sure. Plus then, you can dump all your Fenders!

The 3 basses I play/gig the most often are my P, 2 band SR and Bongo 5HH.

Not much I can't do with these 3.

Bongo all the way IMO....

Does anyone know if the Bong 6er has the same string spacing or a little tighter spacing than the 5er?

Apparently my 5HH is due any day. Its Christmas so obviously that will delay any deliveries but I can wait

I think you made the right choice. You have the Stingray and Precision thing pretty well covered, but the Bongo is a totally different beast. Enjoy!

Well my Bongo is with the dealer...but Ive had a car issue so I may have to opt for a different bass (eg the P bass which is £430 cheaper).

The Bongo wasnt ordered specifically for me, so its not a problem, its just whether I borrow some cash to STILL get the Bongo or play it safe with the American Standard P bass.

Both basses will be significantly more expensive next time, (P bass is -£90 Fender instant rebate and the Bongo is a very very good deal).
