Precision necks

Ya know what's cool about this forum?

Well.... by way of comparison:
Several years back I built my own custom motorcycle. (Chopper)
The forum I frequented for advice & knowledge sharing, was just chock full of certified A-holes.
If someone came on and claiming to use one of the "bike in a box" kits that were available.... and called what they were doing a "build"... ooohh boy, out came the purists, saying, "you aren't "building" anything!...you are "assembling"!
I never understood that... by their logic, one would need to mine the ore, and smelt it down to make steel...then forge/cast/fabricate everything to the last bolt.... to get any "credit" for what they did!

There are many different degrees to which we who create...are willing or able to go. Bottom line being...we are left with a product, that suits our needs & taste...that we made & did not have to buy completely straight off the shelf. And THAT.... is a beautiful thing.

Good luck with your build.

Yea, I won’t be planting any trees or mining any ore here. :cigar:

Besides, realizing that my time here on earth is limited, I have to be careful what to invest my time in. The Warmoth parts seem pretty straightforward. I can do the pups and wiring in my sleep. I’ve never removed or put on a neck, so that’s what I’m most apprehensive about. I’ve read about neck shims and stuff, but I’m trying not to let that wreck my journey.
