I personally think you did a great job on the headstock. Can't see the nasty-ugly outline of the decal that's so prevalent on such jobs.
i was just looking trough the book history of fender bass and i saw a similar P bass... looks like that in the 70' they made a P bass that was available for a short period of time... it had a bound fretboard and block inlays... other than that it was all stock P bass
Looks great - but the Fender decal is a bit misleading. Great looking axe anyway though. It's like the 50's P reissue meets the 70's jazz.
Blocks on a P can be hit or miss.....but you definetly hit on this one.

its an "Allparts licensed by fender neck"
so i'd call that a fender neck.

Sounds Greattt. it has a feel & resonance like nothing ive ever played and has a Very P-Bass tone.
Well, i figured since the only thing squier on the bass was the wood and the electronics....
the neck pocket worked perfect, nice and snug, but not too tight.
