Double Bass Preffered Settings for GK MBS-III

Hi Ric,

I do have an Ampeg B15, but have also been playing on my teacher's GK MB150 recently. The tone settings I use are generally universal... I try to cut out the treble and mids and only add bass if necessary. It helps blend with the acoustic sound and makes it feel less "artificial."

I just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something. I'm also curious about how your are using a Realist into that Vintage Ampeg B-15N. Are you using some kind of Buffer Pre Amp to get match the input impedance, or is it a "direct connect"? Since I have both these pieces, I'm considering experimenting with them a little to see what it sounds like. The GK and Ampeg are pretty far apart tonally speaking. I dearly loved the old 200MB though. It sounded incredible.
