Yes it does. Which is actually pretty cool for me because it adds enough bottom that I can get away with playing with just my SG Bass's bridge pickup, which I really like the sound of. I also noticed that you can get some cool more distortion-ish tones with that bass by rolling down the volume on my guitar. The Lo Tone cleans up in a pretty cool way.

Thanks to those who've voted, I appreciate the feedback. It seems more than 9 out of 10 bass players can dig the tones I get with this pedal, that's pretty exceptional, I really wouldn't expect that many people to dig an octave fuzz as it is a pretty out there effect to use on bass.
But I always have to wonder, why did Bootsy never get into using an octave fuzz? I know he uses a Whammy for some sweet guitarlike solos, but that's not the same as an octave fuzz. For someone who obviously dug Jimi so much I just can't figure out why he never got into using any octavia like effects? Probably because they tend to cut the bottom so much. Well I guess that's where the COB comes in handy!

I've used a Whammy for those solo purposes before, I used to bring that Whammy to gigs with a blues band hahaha, but these analog octave fuzzes are just dirtier and greasier and a little nastier on the high notes than the whammy.
Well he used plenty of analog fuzzes back in his "heyday" and I'm sure an Octavia or something close got used at some point. I'm thinking of the slow stuff like side 2 of "Ahh the Name is Bootsy, Baby" where his Hendrix influence really shows
Yeah, as a matter of fact I think I've heard what you're talking about, but it's been awhile and I can't remember for sure. I'll have to check it out again.
