Preserving pedal settings in a soft case

I can't recommend the rubber washers enough. Find them in the plumbing aisle at the hardware store. Buy a few packs cause you'll want to use more than 1 per knob.

Some knurled push-on type knobs can be a bit of a hassle to make hold them, but for the most part I haven't had to unwillingly adjust a knob since I started using them (and they still turn just fine when I want to adjust them).

I make frequent tweaks to my settings, often as a practice is in progress - so marking my settings down isn't too practical. But I'm getting some good ideas here. Maybe a combination of ideas will work well.

I wish there was a cheap industry standard for saving and recalling pedalboard patches. Maybe someday the source audio system will evolve into that.
Hi smeet! Nice to see you post something. It is funny you posted this comment. As I was reading down the thread I said to myself, you know, since the Hub this is a complete non issue for all our travel boards these days. In the old days of Soundblox 1 we needed cheat sheets with knob position guides, and sometimes those were too coarse to get the exact sounds. Presets is a good solution and Hub is a great one. I know we are clearly the outliers here given boards with 95% SA pedals. Hopefully our vision is right long term.
BTW, your blind phaser showdown was way out front. We are now winning those in the guitar space consistently, but it started with bassists on TB and with you!

You would have to modify your pedals somewhat, but the stompshield is an interesting solution.

An inexpensive, but somewhat time consuming/fussy method is to get a packet of those tiny multicolored 'dot' stickers from Staples or some other stationary/office supply, and place them on your pedals to match up with the knob pointer at the 'sweet spot'. Granted, with Mooer sized boxes you may have to use tweezers to place them properly, but with different colors to contrast to the box color, you should be able to make quick adjustments/corrections on stage(I use a Littlelite clip-on originally meant for sheet music stands on my pedalboards). The stickers are less messy than using a magic marker. If you don't mind spending money, there's always this... Loknob - Powered by Network Solutions.

A simple drawing on a sheet of thick paper - rectangles(pedals), circles(knobs) and lines(settings). Keep it in the soft case, get to the gig and takes a minute to reference and tweak if anything moved. No money spent.

I've been a Invalid Link Removed for both my pedals and amp for a while - they are bright enough to see in dim light, and are easy to remove if you decide to change your settings later.
@TeadMcFrog ,
Have you experienced any problems with the Setting Saver 'hurting' the finish on any of your pedals?
StageTrix says in a FAQ that they've found that effect pedals by Electro-Harmonix can experience damage to the finish from their pens.

I've never used the Settings Saver but EHX pedals are notorious for their easily-removable finish. It has something to do with them not using a final sealing/protective coat over the paint, but you can take it right off with rubbing alcohol.

Tape an arrow onto your knob so its facing up and then draw a line to match up with the arrow and tape it on as well.

Easy to Move it around and i can always get to the setting within 2 seconds
