On the rpm I have there is an option to route the power thru the transformer for 240v via an extra wire. It is model for easy configuration for overseas models. I think the earlier models have a specific transformer for each voltage.

Presonus Studio Studio Channel Preamp

I think I saw someone mention this a while back, but, I also noticed that with both of my mic preamps, when I ran a 1/4" out to the poweramp, it was punchier and generally an all-around better bass sound than when I ran from the XLR out. Has anyone else noticed this?
BTW, I'm using my studio channel for recording now. Mic (or direct) into the channel strip, output with an 1/4" -> 1/8" adapter straight into a laptop. Using audacity (free recording software available for download). It's a simple recording setup for bass, guitar, drums, and vocals, right in my living room on a small table in the corner. Quality is great and noise is low.
The front panel has a button that controls the defeatable, 80Hz/12db high pass filter. Very useful when running vocals or brass through it.
I asked that same question (pretty sure I did) either in this thread or in a related "preamps" type thread and was told "YES" they both can be used at the same time. That was a condition on me buying this unit it the first place.
The manual doesn't explicitly state they can be used at the same time, nor does it say they cannot. I see no reason why it wouldn't work. I"ve not tried it myself yet, however. I am currently using the TRS output to feed my power amp via a TRS to XLR cable.

That's interesting, Thudfromafar. I've never tried the XLR out to the amp instead of the TRS b/c I like to leave the XLR available for DI to the board should it be needed.

Changing my cab from a 212 with a tweet to a 15/6/1 fEarful changed EVERYTHING and I'm discovering that I really, really like my SC. If I had to sell one of my pres (I only own two) I'd probably sell the Demeter HBP-1. The Demeter has the most pristine clean sound I've ever heard from any amp (or pre) but it's got no hair/fuzz/tube compression/"give" that I can so easily dial in w/the tube gain control on the SC.

I run both XLR and 1/4 out all the time to separate channels

I've never noticed a difference,

One thing I do get that's kinda nice running this way
is the same volume from both cabs at the same setting.
In other words, when the A and B channels are both on 5
the volume sounds the same out of both cabs.
If you've ever run a 410 and 210 (same ohms) together on
one channel the 210 get's twice as much power as the 410.

A difference in sound is more likely to be the difference in quality between the 2 leads being used.
I have used the xlr and trs outs to supply a powered monitor and couldn't hear a difference.

Just thought I would share my new rig. Presonus Studio Channel, Crown XLS 1000, my fearful 15/6/1. I really like it so far. Still got to get used to the tweakability of it. So far, so good.

I think the only thing I don't like about my SC is that it would be really cool if the 2 outputs had separate volume controls so you could independently change your stage volume with out impacting on what is going to the desk. This is easy if you are using a power amp - unfortunately I am not.

Took the front off my rack today after the weekend gigs and the Threshold knob looks like it has had a fight with a drum stand and lost! Bent as all hell and I can't get sound out of the SC unless I push on the knob. And guess what? No one has any idea how it happened??!!
Fortunately I found the identical pot in stock in a shop near my house and I will get it installed on the PCB this week and the damaged 1 swapped out. Seriously not happy. Hopefully the pot gets changed and it all good. I won't be a happy camper if there are other issues.
