I joined my friends "INDIE" band and we all agree we want a pretentious name, apparently we sound like death cab, minus the bear and mgmt. nothing seems to fly with them cause we are all pretentious

But then if it's a pose anyway, it's obviously a calculated pose, so you're only going to be pretending you don't care what other people think, only pretending the name is deeply meaningful and only your "real fans" get it... etc. The difference between poser and pretentious is in how well you pull it off, right?
