Pretty amazing find: Anthony Jackson Steely Dan Rhythm Track Mixes

I was just surfing around for some backing tracks to play guitar with and I can't believe what I found. This site has MP3 backing tracks of thousands of songs with the guitar dropped out so you can play along with them and learn the songs. Many of the tracks are MIDI sequences, or someone's best attempt at covering the songs.

I'm a big Steely Dan fan (as well as an Anthony Jackson) so I check out the songs they have for SD.

Well imagine my surprise to find that the songs uploaded by "OrangeGoblin" are all real mixes of the actual SD songs, with the bass featured!

If you ever wanted to hear how locked in a Steely Dan groove works internally, listen to these tracks! I'm still amazed that they are just there for the listening!

One project that never got out of the living room did Do It Again... I honestly love the groove in that song and really enjoyed playing that groovy bassline. It was the highlight of our rehearsals. I still crank that sucker when it comes on the radidio.

Update: I found a way to see all the songs this guy posted, nearly 400 songs from all types of artists. All the mixes are either album mixes or board mixes from live performances from the actual artists. Fascinating to listen to Pink Floyd raw tracks!

This guy must be some type of an insider that needs to get these mixes to do live sound cues or something. There's no way someone could have access to all these master recordings.
