Ugh...I'm in the same boat, but I live in Montana to boot
. I lucked out when I needed a DB--a used Strunal ply was available in town. If it hadn't been for that I probably would've done something rash, desperate and ill-advised. FWIW, this Strunal has been a great bass for me.
