Affinity? Vintage Modified? Classic Vibe? Age? Color?

Well technically price quotes are for supporting members, but $80-150 depending on the model.

I've purchased two Squier Affinity P's in my life. Both were in rough shape.
The first (circa 2000) one had the small tuners. $30 with Road Runner gig bag.

The second one (Circa 2004) was a mess, and needed some setup love. $40

You can always go to Ebay and do a search of auctions which have closed.

I believe most folks would consider the Affinity the "standard Squier". I think the general street price NEW is $179 (sometimes you can get them cheaper). If you are patient, you should be able to find a NICE used one for $80 or so. Their quality can vary greatly. Be sure to check it out before you buy. A piece of crap is no bargain at any price. Every once in a while you can find a very good one.

I paid $90 for a Squier P bass special. NOT the affinity.
And that was from Guitar center, so they probably only paid like 30 for it. ;)

Up until about two years ago when it was cancelled, Squier did indeed have a "Standard" line which was the tier between the Affinity and Vintage Modified lines, and yes, for A Squier Standard P-bass plus gig bag and in good condition, $105 seems a fair price. Congrats!

Squier has the "Starter Pack" which consists of an Affinity and the Rumble 15w amp. For $105 you did OK

Just remember; No pics…no bass! ;)

Seriously though, welcome to the Deep End! We all hope you enjoy "getting to first bass". And if you could post some pics, I'm sure all of us who've given a bit of advice would love to see it…paint job and all.
