Primus, anyone?

I kinda feel like most bassist know about primus but don't really play some of his songs. There too focused on other songs that you don't really have a lot of fun on. try some of his songs out, actually give it a try it's so much fun to play his songs. I recommend playing some songs from the antiypop album, tales from the punchbowl album, sailing the seas of cheese album, frizzle fry album, and they can't all be zingers album.

Les and Flea are players I enjoy what they do but have no desire to even attempt, my bag is simply too different.

OK, I get it, you’re a fanboi(his name is Les), but while they have had a sizable following for decades, it’s still a niche following. I’ve only once observed a bar band attempt “Jerry…”, and while the technique involved with all their stuff is admirable, not that many players are going to persue it, there’s little to be gained in the long run. Same with Jaco stuff, it’s cool and all, it shows some skill, but you have to find an audience for it.

I can't recall if it was one of my bass students or a coworker playing their record/CD that got me into Primus, likely both. I know it was 'suck on this' maybe it was the Caroline rep, remember when record labels had reps, those were always fun visits for goodies and info. In 1990 I was at CD's of Austin, those were the daze store during the day and bands at night.
