    I'm pretty sure they aren't offering the spot to anyone while Rinat is still alive, even thought he's likely never to play again.

    Why is there so little information available on his health. Hippa? What did happen to this great player?

    Gerry - From what I know, he had a massive stroke and can no longer play the bass but is alive and well nonetheless.
