Pro Tools Express Compatibility

Just have a really fast question regarding Pro Tools Express. A family member bought it for me as a birthday gift, and it's in transit to me as we speak. I did some fast research and am getting mixed signals about it being compatible and working with Windows 8. So my question is, will this program work with Windows 8 and 8.1 OS? If it will, I'll open it and put it in, if it won't, then I will just return it unopened, and go with something I know works. The exact product that was purchased for me is linked below. Thank you.

It will work. You may want to ensure it installs in 32 bit mode (if you want to use stuff like rewire, I think Express is 32bit only...).
Windows 8 has a much better kernel and memory management, I get much less DAE memory errors (none).
If you want to use Plugins try to make sure you install it with the default settings (Just say yes to everything during the install).
And make sure you get the right drivers for your sound card (right is not always 'latest').
Hopefully it doesn't need Ilok (Ilok sucks and costs an extra $49)

Thank you. I just got the package from UPS today, and haven't gotten around to downloading and installing the ignite or pro tools it comes with. Truth be told, I don't even see anything pertaining to the pro tools program that it says it comes with, just a pamphlet to get the ignite. This entire process has so far been one big pain in the rear, because I've encountered a few other problems when testing the interface through Audacity just to make sure it works properly.
