Pro Tools First Collaboration.

I'm a sonar kinda guy, but two of the guys I'm going to be working with think the collaboration function on PT First might be a better way to potentially share ideas in a close to real time way. I'm not opposed to that, but I'm not sure I'm correctly understanding what the dude in the video explaining how to use the feature. Does someone in the project need to have a full version of PT 12/12HD tp be able to collaborate on PT First like I think he's saying? Thanks!
