Hmmm... I should've explained my situation better.
I'm on a budget here - still shopping.
Approx 2500-3000 for an iMac, MIDI keyboard/controller(will be last on the list), and software. I'm not totally new to this, but I just want to build my own workstation that can allow for me to write professional sounding scores for local/indie type films, and can continusously be upgraded.
(Obviously can't do this with a PC running Cakewalk and using the mouse to enter in notes manually - my current setup.)
I like that with the M Box you get the ProTools software for the audio stuff. (I figure a Digi 002 could work well here too or later on down the line)
I'm familiar with Digital Performer, but have never used Logic, Sibelius or Kontakt before. The most audio I'll do is between 1-3 tracks per song, the rest being midi.
This will be my first "real" setup, so I'm not gonna go over the top just yet. Just need the best setup for the budget and applications.
Thanks
