Pro Tools Newbie question

    I've tried posting on the digi forum, but no answers.

    I'm doing some recording with Pro Tools free, my guitar player is using Adobe Audition. I sent him my bass part, and he emailed back asking where the part starts. Here's the quote from his email:

    I don't know how your program displays it but mine (when I display in Bars and Beats) shows the very beginning of the bar (bar 2 for example) as 2:1.0 and each beat is divided in to 16 sections so the point just before bar two (in 4:4 time) is 1:4.15.


    I understand what he wants, but when I look at the transport bar of where my part starts it says 7/4/476. What is the 476?

    Anybody got an answer for me?

    Ok. I've figured out that it's ticks, but now how can I convert it? Math is not my subject.:rollno:
